One of the women activists of the National Student Front (FMN) and also a radical feminist who is active as editor in chief of Merah Muda Memudar (MMM), Anindya Shabrina, was threatened with criminalization after complaining of sexual abuse cases by police officers she experienced during the forced dissolution of discussions of Papuan students in Surabaya at Friday, July 6, 2018.
Papuan students living in a student dormitory on Kalasan, Surabaya, East Java held a film screening of the 1998 Biak Papua bloody tragedy. When film discussions were underway, police intelligence entered the dormitory, which was immediately followed by other police officers and Satpol PP personnel. Papuan students standing near the door and discussing the event with the police were dragged out and provoked by the police.
The Tambaksari sub-district head together with military personnel, police and Satpol PP then entered the dormitory. Also seen were six black uniformed police officers who were carrying weapons into the dormitory. Then, the Head of Tambaksari Sub-district ordered the Papuan students to show their KTP on the grounds that they were carrying out an inspection operation. However, students refused the examination, and questioned the official letter, which was not owned by the officer.
Furthermore, there was an immediate debate between students, supported by LBH Surabaya (legal aid organization in Surabaya) lawyers with the head of the sub-district head and the police with the military. The police dragged out an LBH lawyer, Mr. Sholeh. That’s when Anindya was also dragged out and sexually abused. Anindya’s breasts were squeezed, and when Anindya shouted in protest at the matter, the officials even laughed.
A few days later Anindya wrote a series of statements on her social media. He and LBH also reported this to Propam on 9 July 2018. The report was addressed to East Java Regional Police with Letter Number 133/SK/LBH/VII/2018. The letter contained the alleged violation of the police code of ethics when the incident occurred on July 6, 2018 with the complainant being Mr. Kompay Prayitno, Tambaksari Police Chief, Surabaya City, and Surabaya Police Commissioner Rudi Setiawan.
But then Anindya was reported by the mass organization on behalf of itself, the Surabaya Papua Great Association (IKBPS) which was chaired by Piter Frans Rumasek who was also a member of the Satpol PP in Surabaya City on charges of defamation. But Papua student organization in Surabaya, Ikatan Pelajar Dan Mahasiswa Papua (Ipmapa) stated that the complaint did not represent the interests of Papuan students. On August 16, 2018, a warrant was issued with the number: Sprin-Sidik /665/VIII/RES2.5/2018/Satreskim. In the letter Anindya Shabrina Prasetiyo was snared with article 45 paragraph (3) Jo article 27 paragraph (3) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to RI Law No. 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions.
With this short report we call for solidarity for Anindya Shabrina to fight against criminalization. Long live women struggle!

Panjang umur perempuan!
